TEACHING ASSISTANT (1:1)
Fixed term until 31/08/22, 32 hours per week (term time only) to start in January 2022.
VTG6, SP15-18 starting salary £18,569 per annum, pro rata (actual starting salary £13,736 per annum) plus Health Care Cash Plan and Benefits Package
Venturers Trust is a dynamic and focused multi-academy trust based in Bristol, formed in September 2017 through the merger of CGS Trust and Merchants’ Academy Trust. Applications are invited from high quality candidates to join an exciting and committed team at Fairlawn Primary School. We looking to recruit a 1:1 Teaching Assistant who will contribute to a wide range of teaching and learning activities and assist and support the work of qualified teachers. This role will involve working 1:1 with a pupil.
Previous experience of working with children is essential as is flexibility and a sense of humour. We strive to offer the highest level of education and trust that you will have equally high expectations.
The successful candidate will have:
• GCSEs at Grade C or above in English and maths (or equivalent qualifications).
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent relevant to a Teaching Assistant role
• Experience of working effectively supporting children with complex social, mental and emotional health needs in a learning environment.
• A proficiency in improving basic numeracy and literacy with specialist skills in literacy that will enable you to work with targeted individuals.
