Poem for Year 1

We have travelled through the school, upstairs and downstairs.
Laughing and playing at the school fairs.

Splashing with water and climbing hollow trees.
Running and kicking footballs, bumping our knees.

Digging in the sand looking for gold.
Counting and writing, exploring hot and cold.

We have learnt how to keep our teeth clean
and make speedy bloodhound machines.

Searching the forest for our family trees.
Singing about pirates on the seas!

We travelled back in time,
and learnt about Brunel and the Great Western line.

Printing patterns and animals with vegetables,
they really look incredible!

We have seen amazing cuckoo clocks,
and visited the docks.

Great fun at Forest School,
making masks and using tools.

We have had many visitors come to see us;
Firemen, Arctic Explorers and some that BUZZ

We have made a bee hive using tissue paper and egg boxes.
Good luck Owls, Gruffalos, Mice, Snakes and Foxes.

New adventures await in Year 2.
